He is responsible for all of the firm’s investment decisions. An engineer by training, Brian has over 24 years of experience in the energy industry, including 17 years of institutional investment experience. Brian’s investment expertise spans a wide range of industries including energy, basic materials, power generation, and AI. Prior to founding Thomist in 2018, Brian was a portfolio manager at Citadel where he ran a predominantly energy equity book for the Commodity and Global Equity platforms. Before Citadel, he was a senior analyst at George Weiss Associates. Brian began his career as an engineer at ExxonMobil before joining RBC and J.P. Morgan as a research associate. Brian earned a BS in engineering from Cornell University.
