O'Higgins President and Chief Investment Officer Michael B. O Higgins was born and raised in Venezuela, due to his father s employment in the petroleum industry. He grew up living and studying in various countries in South America, Southeast Asia, North Africa, and Europe before returning to the United States to attend college. After earning a B.S. in Economics from Siena College, Michael worked for Procter Gamble, before entering the investment business in 1971 as a stockbroker trainee for Spencer Trask Company, and later White, Weld Company. He opened his own money management firm in 1978. Michael has been the subject of articles in Time Magazine, Barron s, Forbes, Business Week, Money Magazine, Financial World, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, and The Financial Times, as well as a special guest on CNBC s Smart Money and a regular guest on PBS s Nightly Business Report. He is the author of the best-selling investment classic Beating the Dow (HarperCollins, 1991) , that popularized the legendary Dogs of the Dow strategy, as well as Beating the Dow with Bonds (HarperCollins, 1999) . Michael holds the Series 65 Investment Adviser license. Donna B. O'Higgins Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Donna was born in England and came to the United States as a small child.
