This private equity fund provides Tier 1 capital to minority depository institutions (MDIs) across the United States, and to small businesses that provide services to these institutions. Our fund is led by a team of professionals in the financial services industry, with solid partnerships and years of experience managing MDIs and private equity funds. Our purpose is to promote community development by providing capital and expertise to minority-owned or operated banks, savings associations, and holding companies that primarily serve low- and moderate-income (LMI) areas. Strategies That Work Proven Solutions for Sustainable Growth and Community Impact through Investing in Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs) : an MDI is defined as any depository institution where 51 percent or more of the voting stock is owned by minority individuals. Footnote: Minority as any "Black American, Asian American, Hispanic American, or Native American."
