Based in Houston, Texas, the firm was originally founded in 1989 by the Institutional Equity Team from MCorp in Dallas. Following a management transition in 2008, Hourglass relocated to Houston and expanded the firm’s advisory team and investment offerings. Management John H. Moffet, CFA Principal John is a Principal of Hourglass Capital with portfolio management responsibilities for the Firm’s Growth and Income equity strategies. He joined Hourglass as a Principal and Portfolio Manager following its merger with Moffet Capital Management in 1996.
