Hermitage - Equity Investing Hermitage is a Finnish family office focusing on equity investing globally. Our main investment areas include private equity, venture capital, listed equities and direct investments. Private Equity and Venture Capital Our primary focus in private equity is in buyout funds. In venture capital we prefer first-time or emerging managers that add value through differentiated deal sourcing and hard work. Our investment criteria include but are not limited to: Deal sourcing credibility Team structure and incentivization Viability of the strategy Track record We have been active investors in the VC ecosystem, often serving on multiple advisory boards of VC funds. Listed Equities On top of large index-like mandates and fund-investments, we also look for sources of differentiated alpha from managers in niche areas, such as country specific small capitalization stocks. Our investment criteria include but are not limited to: A unique or otherwise differentiated opportunity Excellent fund management and track record For us, it is important for fund managers to have imagination and not settle for bulk solutions or closet indexing.
