More than ever before, our lives have become… ...well, how do I say it? Mushed...? Home is now often the same place that we work. Dinner tables aren’t just set with utensils but computers to serve as our “catch up block” on emails. Beds may put our bodies down to rest, but don’t be fooled - our minds scroll social media to stay in touch with loved ones...or that next new trend. Family extends beyond blood – work husbands, best friends, and yoga instructors have managed to infiltrate our circles...sometimes, in the best way possible. Why is this? Something is happening. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a shadow side to everything, but I like to see the light, and there definitely is...that is, when practiced with intention . It’s like we crave this comprehensive alignment that stems from a desire to be authentic in every aspect of our lives. The places we spend time at and how we pursue our lives create the communities that become home and the family no longer defined by blood type. The challenge is when we pursue this desire fully with no expectations or boundaries.
